Snowden Demonstration Forest
This is an XC area with over 100km of trails, but not well suited to the absolute beginner rider, as most trails are quite difficult and continuously technical. Trails vary from dense forest to open rock bluff, unique to this area is the almost total absence of roads giving riders a feeling of “being out there”. Mostly signed the trails are marked for the preferred direction of travel, although most can be ridden in the reverse direction by a strong climber.
