Shane's Stihl MS560 Magnum custom tuned. Badass.
Thats a big fricking saw. And here I was thinking my saw was on the big side for trail work.
It's a bit big for small stuff but it ripped a 20ft long Hemlock logride (12" wide) in 25 mins! It's great having a logger on your crew.
but can he put it in a pack and ride with it? ;)
That would be a sight! Brilliant. I'm sure he'd give it a whirl if he got a pack big enuff...at least up until that low branch!
Husky 353. Perfect size for what I do.
My little Echo saw is pretty small compared to any of these saws but i like it .It fits nice in my Dueter futura 28 ac back pack and i can walk or ride with it no problem.I also found a mini Mattock that fits in the pack and works well as a one handed salal slayer.
Post up that mattock if you get a chance.
speaking of mini mattocks. After being out in the field with a Geotech one day, I have always wanted one of these. Its a tool designed for geoscience. Mini mattock on one side, mini sledge on the other.
That looks like a good combo tool i wonder where a person could get one of those.
