    new trail

Flagged  a new trail today in the forbidden area. This trail ties in nice with existing trails is almost all down hill, some wide open let her fly sections and some steep and technical it also goes right past the front door of a very small cabin i would guess dates back to when the area was first logged, inside is some cutlery and an old rusty lunch box sort of interesting and quite a surprise never know what you might find out in the woods.

I dont know much of the history of the area.I heard of a grave site of a person that lived around there, idont know its location. This little cabin may have been a trappers or loggers who knows. The roof has collapsed the walls are large cedar shakes i hope its left as is.

    Thats cool!

I guess with all these builders popping up here we can organize the odd mass trail day and really try to fix up Shieks and other trails that need work.

After the big wind storm last winter various different user groups large and small and individuals worked to clear the trails. As i am into various modes of two wheel fun i participated with a few different groups. From what i saw i am pretty confident that given a similiar occurance people will step up.There are many that care about the recreational value of that area . I would be interested in maintaining whats there .

Well the creek down to RR was raging so I went up to JTS and did some temp drainage work and collected all my tools for winter.  Also humped up some more cedar slats from my stash for something new.

Branch 10 is just up the road to the right of the entrance to R.R. it goes to the old road access to forbidden just a little higher up from the start of JTS a parallel trail.I walked it this summer thick with alder in some places but could be a single track similiar to the rats tail.

Sure sounds good.  I think I have walked that road.  I have a trail above JTS that I would like to finish.  Maybe we could collectively work on that too.

Good news, i got started on the new trail, its going to be called Cabin Fever . The Cabin is getting fixed up, kind of a cool place for bikers to stop and take a break .Looks like Ryder is going to get some help building this trail, Riders can look forward to a good challenging new trail ready to ride in the spring.Merry Christmas.
