    Summer Events Calendar 2007

Subject to change, but tentatively here are some of the events for Mount Washington this summer.

Check out their main site - or bike site for more information.

More to come as the season gets closer.

    *UPDATE* March 22
Crankworx finishes July 29th so the planned August 4th Bearclaw Slopestyle is long shot at best.
    ---------
I like the look of this proposed event schedule so I really hope it holds up. Based on learn to ride week and Canada Cup, the latest opening date should be Sat. July 7 although June 30 would be so sweet. Lucky downhill is so much fun and the no-pressure atmosphere is great. There should be 100+ riders every week but then we would have to start way earlier. Bearclaw in Aug and VPS fest in Sep is also a good call.

Well Bike Magazine is backing the August 4 Slopestyle so I guess they are going to have to pull it off:

July 29 - Finale at Crankworx
July 30 - Travel to Mt. Wash
July 31 - Build first 1/2 of course
    Aug 1 - Complete course
Aug 2- Begin warm up runs

    Realistic? I am skeptical.

In other news, the Adidas event in Europe got canceled due to weather.

Not sure what you're getting at - the course will be built long before Crankworx or the the Aug 4th slopestyle. My information is that the green face has been plowed considerably, and is quite bare at the moment. Should allow for Darren and Jim Deas to build up the course long before the event. Last year they started from scratch with only a week, so starting much earlier with all the dirt on site now will be quite a difference.

That would be so sweet if they built the course prior to Crankworx. Let's guess how that would go:

    July 15 - July 19: Build course
    July 20: Travel to crankworx

July 20 - Aug 1: Tape off course in an attempt to keep it nice and piss lots of long term customers off

    OR

July 20 - Aug 1: Inform riders of the difficulty of the course and allow long-term customers(intermediate and expert riders) take advantage of the course

"The Bearclaw Invitational Slopestyle Course will be open to the public all season long. An additional Jump Park following the Slopestyle Course will introduce a new pro-line trail that leads riders back to the base of the high-speed six-person Hawk chair. "

I found this at bike.mountwashington.ca tonight. That is the answer I was hoping for. Maybe Darren will build the course early in July. That would rule.

That's sweet man. I hope there is a 'No Tricks' division so I can go in it!
