I don't think that would make  great dh course out by the finger trail it would be a lot of pedaling to get any speed its to flat would be good for a beginer type trail nice and flowly with a little pedaling.

I'ld like to see a fast and flowy trail (or trails) suitable for those of us without 50 million inches of travel.  Lots of` berms, a wall ride (like Silver Star?), well built stunts with options, some jumps, and through the trees.  Flow is the goal.  It doesn't have to be super steep, but challenging enough for AM and DH types (line options).  I would like to see a trail where I can ride my 5" AM at a higher level, enough to keep the beginners off, but designed to build skills and confidence.   The trails of off the Hawk are OK but it would be nice to have one off of the Eagle.

I think the jumps should be timed better for our speed and with longer transitions. Defintely more jumps! More consistent take-offs (lips) would be nice as well. More safe drops as well.

I am wondering if the trails are being dug out right now to get things ready for the season. Whistler, Silverstar and I am sure the other parks do to get a start on the melt. Does Mt Washington as well? Or do they leave it up to mother nature?

Since it is still May I would put my money on mother nature. Hopefully in June a dig-out project will start.

    Skifreak:
...For those who have ridden before, we'd like to pass forward suggestions to the bike park crew as to what riders would like to see more or less of in the future.

I agree with most... I would like to see more sustained DH, lots of flow, berms and hips. Keep the new stunty stuff to a minimum, or to at least what can be maintained to a high standard. Also the in-the-trees lines are kool, no I mean it... they are Cool and Kool! Plus they don't seem to dry out as easily in the hot sun (less dust).

Trails up there are great fun, keep up the good work.

    Re: 2007 Bike Park Suggestions

I will give my input point-by-point on the upgrades referenced by Skifreak in the OBB post:

    * a new novice route off the top of the Hawk Chair
I think this was required. The top part of MMT is not very good for beginners especially after the switchbacks get all rutted out.

    * two new mountain skill centres
Also required. The overall appearance of the old skill centre was questionable at best.

    * new bike carriers for the high-speed Eagle Express Chair
There are seldom line-ups for the Eagle chair and with proper racks there should be pretty much none.

    * the all-new Norco Learn to Ride Week from July 9th to the 13th
    Cool

    * extended evening riding hours until Labour Day
AWESOME. Hours were terrible in 2006.

    * the new Sleeman's Jump Jam comp on August 25th
    Should be fun.

    * and a new intermediate trail called Timewarp
I assume this is near Evil Eye because that is where they started building a high speed cork screw in September(?) last season.
