Cross comes to Cumberland on November 10th and we want you! We want you to race, and if you can't race, we want you to come out anyway. I'm sure Dave and I can find something for you to do. We need volunteers for set up and tear down, but more than anything else we need race marshals; no experience necessary. The long term forecast is calling for sunshine and daytime temperatures of a balmy 10 degrees.
What better way to see some of the best riders in the country duke it out in the alleys of Cumberland. Olympians Alison Sydor and Andres Hestler, National Cross Champion Wendy Simms as well as Max Plaxton have all been past supporters of the "Cross on the Rock" cyclocross series and there is no telling who might show up in Dodge.
All volunteers' names will be entered for draw prizes and after the race you can enjoy some food and refreshments at the après cross social hosted by the good folks from the Riding Fool Hostel.
Registration starts at 9am at the No.6 Mine Park in Cumberland; those that are interested in volunteering are encouraged to show up earlier. Parking is behind the Cumberland Rec. Center. For more information please contact either Dave at 897 8484 or Andrew at 898-3336.
