Well im sure you all have been wondering whats been going on up in the hills of Mt Washington, so here it goes. Myself and Jim Deas broke ground about 2 weeks ago and the weather couldnt be better, it was 36 degrees celsius and wicked warm. We got off to a good start, Jim was flinging dirt around like there was no tomorrow and I was pushing it around in my bobcat supplied by surfwood rentals.

As any event goes there are setbacks and that we had, just after setting in a good pace of waking up at 6 am and working till dark for a couple of days I broke a hydraulic hose on the excavator, not a big deal except that the machine we rented was a link belt and it has some stupid fittings that took 3 days of running around to get it fixed. so three days of downtime not a big deal until the rain hits, for a week straight we moved dirt for the first two days of rain until the dirt was so saturated with water we had to stop so myself Jim, Ben Nick and Parker proceeded to work on wood structures in the pouring rain until the course was so muddy that we couldn’t even get our buggy that pilon tools lent us up the hill and with the forecast for the whole weekend being torrential rain we took 2 days off to let it rain and resume building when the rain stopped. Build is what we did.

So for my opinion of the course well its definitely the sickest course I have ever seen and possibly the most technical yet burly course most riders will ever ride. Its a thing of beauty.
As the course stands right now it starts with the same drop as the year before which is a 17 foot by 20 drop into a s berm with a roller in between going left and right since I was going for the same stunts on the left and right the whole way down. Out of the berms is a very technical sub rail in to a 20 foot tall landing into a 8 foot tall hip left and right into a 35 foot tall landing into massive wall rides on both sides which will scare people, out of the wall rides is step ups onto a platform which we put dirt for the landing and the lip. So hip off the dirt filled platform into big landings into two bonar logs on both sides that is. So thats all I got to finish since time was tight for me to head up to whistler. But don’t be worried the crew will be working all this week and weekend and next week to dial everything in.
My final thoughts are I sure hope everyone appreciates all my crews and Mt Washington’s hard work and dedication to creating something awesome cuz I’ll tell ya it aint easy.

Rob Parker on my crew looking pretty

Jim awake at 7 as usual

People I’d like to thank so far are my girl Alex for putting up with not seeing me and Jim Deas my dirt mover the crew, Parker, Ben, Nick, Jordie, Beecher, the Mt Washington staff foe lending a hand when we needed and supplying us with tools, surfwood rentals, Doug Harmston, and Austin at Pilon
thanx again stay posted while we get things dialled and for the time being I’m gonna go learn how to ride my bike again in whistler and ride at crankworx.
